Local Area Network Project Proposal: Abroad construction company – Jaffna Branch

 

Introduction

A foreign based construction company wishes to set up its branch in Jaffna. The company head office has decided to set up a branch of the said company in Jaffna and thereby carry out massive construction work here. Accordingly, office work will be carried out here with many computers.

 

Various works will be carried out through these computers. This branch office will carry out works such as drawing pictures for building construction, printing them and checking them, and preparing reports etc.

 

Also, work will be done including designing and publishing social media advertisements related to their company. For this all the computers in the branch office should be connected to each other through a Local Area network. Through this the officers can easily exchange their files. And All computers must be connected to the Internet.

 

Also, the construction plans drawn at the head office should be connected to the printer to facilitate printing at the branch office. Similarly, the plans prepared at the branch office should be provided with printing facilities at the head office.

 

Thus, the Local Area network should be facilitated in such a way that all the work can be done simultaneously quickly and efficiently. To overcome following problems, they plan to implement the network, for that they have arranged some discussion with the relevant body to get the fulfill idea of the network implementation based on the answer to the question. That discussion is helpful further implementation of the proper network. The scope of the network implementation is networking the computers here by dividing resources and reducing expenditures, which can be used only by ten computers using a printing machine.
