Local Area Network Project Proposal: The Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Jaffna's Faculty of Medicine plans

Introduction

The Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Jaffna's Faculty
of Medicine plans to construct a local area network. For this implementation, they
contacted me and scheduled the first site visit, during which I went directly to the unit.
Nearly 10 computers are available to them in their facility, but they are all standalone and
not connected to any internal networks. I looked at how each computer used a print device
and how they transferred data using a pen drive. Only some computers have internet
connections, so they also require internet connections for others computers. Currently,
they are having trouble getting each computer to connect to the internet. They intend to
network to address the following issues, and as a result, I have scheduled several meetings
with relevant parties to gain a better understanding of how to network based on the
answers to the questions. Communication is essential to establishing a proper network.
The goal of network implementation is to connect computers in this location by sharing
resources and reducing costs, but only 10 computers will use the printer
